This week, I am working on wall decor with wire. I also created a second home decor project with wire, which turned out to be extremely cute. All I need is a wire (obviously) and black spray paint.
At first, I drew a few single-line doodles that I wanted to create and have chosen 2 favorite ones.
I am making a wall decor, which has the shape of a light bulb with a plug. I bend it using pliers. When finished, I give it a coat of black paint using spray paint. To avoid making a mess at home, I am using a cardboard box.
I am going to be using a silver wire and a couple of pliers for bending and cutting the wire.
I am going to speed up the process. I started giving a shape of a plug, then made a loop and finished up with a light bulb itself.
All you need to do is to give your wire the shape of that one-line doodle by bending it. You are basically drawing a doodle with the wire. Use pliers to give a sharp bend to the wire. Although many times it was easier to bend with fingers when I needed to give a shape to my metal doodle.
I wanted to make my wall decor black, so I am using black spray paint. I placed the decor piece inside a cardboard box and gave it a nice coat of paint and that finished the project.
And that finished up the project.
The second project, a leaf of Monstera plant, is going to be a home decor I want to place in my shelf unit. Once again, I give it the shape I want and then use extra wire to “connect the dots” and attach the edges of the leaf with the central line. I painted it black, too, and that ends the project.
It is incredible how one-line metal wall decor and home decor items fit any interior. They are super fun and cute temporary addition to your home design.
