Living room makeover. More home decor for the living room7 December, 2021
Wall art with Scandinavian design14 December, 2021
I have finally purchased new tableware in 2023! A new year and a new start of something I was ashamed of. Why was I ashamed? Well, as you know, in Germany you can find literally everything for free on the street. People are moving out, and they leave behind things they don’t need anymore. Germans are very much into recycling, upcycling, reuse of things, therefore it is a very common practice, you find something on the street in the “Zu verschenken” box. And that’s exactly how I found all my tableware. I haven’t spent even one cent on my plates, cups, glasses, bowls… All are found on the street.
New tableware in 2023
Now, when we finally finish talking about things, I am ashamed of, I will continue with the good part. My colorful tableware that doesn’t match each other and looks like a flea market rather than a serious household is packed and placed in the same “Zu verschenken” box I once found. And it is about time to upgrade my tableware with the beautiful sets.
Coffee cups by KIVY
First of all, coffee cups. I had probably 20 different mugs and coffee cups of different shapes and colors and it was embarrassing to offer a coffee or a tea to my friends. I stumbled upon this beautiful set of 6 coffee cups made by KIVY, a design company from Düsseldorf, Germany. And you know what? I am in love. The material, the pattern and the feel when you touch it are simply amazing.
Bowls by KIVY
When I saw that KIVY has a line of products, I could not look away from the bowls set. Same pattern, the same material and look how pretty they are! I hope KIVY will expand their line and there will be more tableware and patterns.
Glasses by Bormioli Rocco
Now, the glasses. I used IKEA glasses that were actually doing the trick and to be honest, I didn’t see the reason to change that. Well, apart from the fact that the exact same glasses you can find in almost every European household.
With that, I have found wonderful glasses designed by the Italian company Bormioli Rocco. The glasses set I have ended up buying is called Diamond, which is the pattern of the glass itself. Have a look at this beauty and don’t forget to check out their other products, which are also stunning.
Tableware set by Amazon Basics
I know, I know, you will think, how Amazon Basic products could be a good option? But you know what, I really liked their tableware sets. I like the colors you can choose, and the quality is also very good for the price you pay. I enjoyed the 18-items sets (6 big plates, 6 salad plates, 6 soup plates) in grey color.
