Dear readers! Ommik develops further and today I will be organizing tools in a small apartment! Please, don’t be too harsh, it is my first attempt to be on camera, but I promise I will be improving my skills.
Organizing tools in a small apartment
In this video, after a short introduction, I am organizing tools in a small apartment. For this task, I have chosen an IKEA Billy shelf as storage for DIY tools and materials.
I have found this IKEA Billy shelf on the streets of Berlin. For those, who don’t know, it is common practice in Germany, when people moving out or buying new furniture, they simply get rid of the old one by taking it outside on the streets so that someone who might need it could take it for free.
Yes, it is illegal, and if you get caught taking your bulk waste out, you can get a heavy fine, but people still do it. In this case, I found the BILLY shelf and took it home. It doesn’t have a back panel, which is fine, because my wall in the hallway is white, and that is where the shelf is located.
- I got rid of the stuff that should not be there, like bicycle bags.
- I trashed the old screws, nails and details of furniture that I don’t have anymore.
- Found some space for a toolbox, which used to be stored under my bed.
- I found some space for lightbulbs. I have dedicated one shelf for DIY materials, and it looks amazing.
This organizing tools in a small apartment project must be an eyegasm for people with OCD or those who simply enjoy watching things being tidy and organized.
