Video of the week: 10 premium desk setup accessories
17 October, 2022Well, here you go. After a year of procrastination, I finally got to the point when I filled up my upcoming weeks with some badass business networking in Berlin. To tell you the truth, I am normally not someone who procrastinates a lot. I love the feeling of accomplishments, even if it’s a tiny task. But for some reason I was postponing meetings and getting to know entrepreneurs. Perhaps, it was because I didn’t have a clear vision of a business idea. But now I do.

When I moved to Berlin 11 years ago, I was attending such networking events regularly, because I was building a business back then. And let me tell you, those days were fantastic! I remember how inspired and motivated I was by talking to other like-minded people and entrepreneurs. I made wonderful contacts and friends, who made me work even harder to start my business.
Many moons later and here I am again. Starting a new venture and I need to feel that again. I am super motivated but the lack of other motivated people in my life is killing me.
Networking in Berlin
A few days ago, I started a 2-week long vacation. No, I am not planning to stay in the beach of French Riviera or Spain. I am staying in cold Berlin but this time I have a plan. Because as they say, a man with a plan is better than a man without a plan. Nobody said that. I just made it up.

I scanned several websites, in order to find interesting business events for the time of my vacation and after. So here you go. Starting from today, I am attending:

- Unicorns in Tech Summit 2022. An LGBTIQ+ tech conference, full day of talks, panels, and workshops, which offers a unique opportunity to expand knowledge and learn from experts in different industries. The event promises everyone to make new friends, colleagues and maybe even meet potential business partners or employers!
- Christoph’s Feedback: Can your business idea make it? An online event that is hosted by business angel, author, and mentor Christoph Raethke. “Christoph’s Feedback” is Berlin’s only meetup where you will be positively discouraged from founding a startup – or get actionable tips on how to get it financed. Looking forward to getting “roasted” by Christoph at some point!
- CO-FOUND: FREE EVENT. This event is hosted by Co-found Accelerator, a community of founders and creators started 9 years ago. 53 successful events, and more than 15,000+ members to date, Co-found Accelerator is becoming the No. 1 in Startup Networking Community & Co-Founding events in Berlin. In the event, there will be startups pitching about their work, co-founders telling their stories and a lot of networking. I guess I should print and bring some business cards 🙂
- The Berlin Startup Meetup 2022. The Berlin Startup Meetup 2022 brings together hundreds of German Startup Founders and Investors. Again, there will be some speakers from the community and networking. Hosted by Startup Network Europe. Starting in 2019, the events of SNE include national conferences, city-level community meetups, as well as webinars and knowledge-sharing expert sessions. SNE conferences attract thousands of founders and investors from across Europe. Through the events and the robust online communities, they facilitate startup ecosystem stakeholders to connect with each other, and create exciting new opportunities for all parties involved.
- Silicon Allee Happy Hour. It’s an open mic + networking event. During the event they will open the mic to some startups to pitch to their elevator pitch. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to get to know each other, and startup’s needs.
To say I am excited, is not to say anything at all. I am beyond excited. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to share my ideas, learn and meet other entrepreneurs. I will write and share about how it went.
Also, a nice part of all four events is that all of them are free to attend. I joined the communities to get me passes to the events, so I am all set. Wish me luck!
