In this post, I shared with you my very first step of a living room makeover. Today is my second update and I will talk about building a dining area and storage space.
Building a dining area
As I mentioned before, I will split my living room into different areas: a reading area with an armchair and a lamp, a chilling area with a couch and a TV, and a dining area with a dining table and chairs. I also decided to keep my home office corner in the living room.
So, this time I have ordered some more furniture to build a dining area and storage space.
The dining table RichWOOD is a perfect option for my small space. The table is only 120 x 75 cm and can fit up to 6 people. Perfect for a dinner gathering with friends.
Two red chairs Doskie I. They are soft, they are comfortable and the colour is the same as my L-shaped couch. A great find.
If one side of the dining table has 2 red chairs, another one will have this amazing bench BourBourg that is 100cm in width and will also fit perfectly under the table, if it is not used.
My old bookshelf is gone. I haven’t used it only for the books, but I stored lots of stuff within the boxes in it as well. So now I need a new solution for the storage space and books.
Bookshelf Leesville II looks to me like a perfect solution for my space. Not too long, so it won’t overlap my dining area and big enough to store some of my stuff and books.
Ladder shelf Crosshill II is going to be a storage space on the opposite part of the room, next to my home office corner. Another wonderful idea is to save some space and store your stuff.
Finally, the last furniture piece I purchased is this lowboard Messas. I like dark wood and white compartments. My new 60-inch TV is coming up, too, and it will complete my (chilling) entertainment area. This lowboard is also good for storing electronics that may be hiding some wires and other stuff.
The result of my living room makeover will be shared when all is done.
Thoughts? If you have anything to add, or even show me your living room, leave a comment! I would be grateful!
