It’s about time to sit with a cup of delicious cafesito and share the latest updates about my space in the virtual world. This update is not going to be long, but short and straight to the point.
Home office blog
Have you ever noticed, when you check official websites of almost every company that also has a blog, it is located not on the main page? Often, it has even a different design in comparison to the main page’s design. Usually, you can find it in addresses like blog.bla-bla-bla.com. Why is it done so? Well, it is done to make sure the main focus of the company is what they actually do and how they do it, not some sort of chatter.
Now, I created ommik.com for blogging a few years ago. It is my favorite hobby. It is the way I express my creativity. I feel like I grow when I write about things that matter to me. So, this hobby is not going to change. I am still dedicated to writing twice a week.
As you know, my hobby turned into exploration of my interests and finally turned into a business idea, that I am pursuing right now. Therefore, ommik.com gets this business idea as the main focus and the blog moves to its own place, blog.ommik.com. That’s it. End of announcement 🙂 *sound of excitement*
Okay, to give you some more insights, I am developing a new homepage. Myself. As a part of the business service and products I am going to offer, as well as a technical solution, I am building everything on my own. All my life I have been working as a software engineer. Now it is time to use my skills to make good use of them. In fact, coding is super pricy, so I am happy I won’t be outsourcing it to anyone else and take control of my own vision and my own way. Now, Dennis, stop talking and go back to coding! 🙂
To add some philosophy on top of what has been said, I am in the place in life, where nothing and nobody distracts me from my focus, which is my career and business. I am happy where I am in my life, and I think I finally breathe with my full lungs!
