Checklist for setting up a workstation at home in 2023
10 November, 2022You might ask, why are we talking about 2023? Well, the odds you sign up in one of the best coworking spaces in Berlin from the list this year are quite low, but there are some inspirations for you to know what Berlin is. Therefore, I want to list some of the great coworking spaces in Berlin for your possible remote work in 2023! Let’s be prepared for a fantastic new year and make new connections by being a part of the new communities!
Best coworking spaces in Berlin
Ommik is all about the home office. Home office is just one part of the concept of remote working. Coworking space is a great alternative in case you work from home because your office is not in the same place, geographically speaking, but you are still craving to socialize with people. If you happen to do (or plan to do) your remote work from Berlin, or (omg, so jealous) living in Berlin, then continue reading. Another reason would be, you just don’t have a dedicated area at home for a home office, or you didn’t get yourself a nice desk, chair, and other stuff to make your work from home like a dream. Whatever your reason is, check my list of the best coworking spaces in Berlin for a remote work in 2023!
Spaces
Spaces is a beautiful coworking space that has two locations in Berlin, but I want to talk about the one in Prenzlauer Berg. The building is new, and the space has a beautiful and clean interior design. The location has 3 meeting rooms, a breakout area, and an outdoor area, 6 dedicated desks and 69 private offices. From the additional benefits, you can expect a great rooftop terrace, coffee & sandwich bar and, obviously, fast WiFi. Memberships start from 89 €/month.

betahaus
Now, betahaus is my personal favorite place to be. And no, I haven’t booked a desk there, but the 2 reasons I am absolutely in love with this place are: community events and café, where poor people like me bring their laptops, sit down, order a coffee and work together. Technically, it is a café that belongs to betahaus coworking space, not a coworking space itself though. So, if you need other facilities and a real coworking space experience, you can get a membership from 105 €/month, but not only that! If you are not planning to work daily, but a few days a month, you can get a daily pass!
What can you expect? Standard access Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm, community events (some of them accessible for non-members for free, such as betabooze, for example, which is hosted on the rooftop), access to partnered coworking spaces around the world (so far, I counted 19 cities) and other common benefits. I like the chill atmosphere and the strong community environment. You can bring your dog with you, just ask beforehand, so nobody will complain about allergies etc.

St. Oberholz
St. Oberholz is another brilliant community and coworking space in Berlin that you should try out! The place hosts multiple events every month, has active members and a genuinely nice café as well! The coworking space spread in Berlin between 5 locations (Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte, Kreuzberg, Schöneberg and Tempelhof), but I personally have been only to the one in Mitte. The place has a fantastic atmosphere. People are working, being super focused, tourists walking by, ordering coffee, and watching all of us being super focused… Ahh, good old times!
You can rent a fixed desk starting from 300 €/month. The cheaper option, like the usage of the coworking area itself, is booked out (as for now, when this post is being written). That tells a lot about the popularity of the place! Fun fact: St. Oberholz was founded in 2005, which makes it the oldest coworking space in Berlin.

Ahoy Berlin
Membership of Ahoy Berlin coworking space will get you 24/7 access to the space, WIFI, electricity, printing, and the fabulous community and the prices start from 200 €/month. Additional services are virtual office, lockers, catering, custom IT solutions. Ahoy Berlin has 3 large conference rooms, smaller meeting rooms, and multifunctional event space. This coworking space offers free public events for people to meet the community and network.

Factory Berlin
Factory Berlin must be on every list of the best coworking spaces in Berlin for a reason. If you are craving to do some badass networking with the vibrant Berlin startup community, then attend some of the events hosted by Factory Berlin coworking space. Your membership will open the doors to many important contacts within the huge community, private events (either networking or cultural). Here is the drum roll… Individual membership starts from 30 €/month, which gives you access to the community events! If you want that plus a coworking space as well, the membership will cost you 170 €/month, which I find a rather good deal.
In Berlin, there are 2 locations: Factory Berlin Mitte and Factory Berlin Görlitzer Park. With your membership you will gain access to both locations in Berlin and in Hamburg.
