Everybody loves IKEA hacks. I tell you more, my previous IKEA hacks post “5 amazing IKEA hacks in 2022” (links are at the end of this post) became the most trending post on Ommik. For those who are still unaware, the IKEA hack means taking an IKEA product and converting it into something else with much higher value and better functionality. In this post, I would like to inspire you, my beautiful reader, with 5 amazing IKEA hacks in 2022 that are trending now like never before! Let’s see if this will be your next DIY or upcycling project and don’t hesitate to share your results!
In the Curbly blog, you can find a very handy hack to convert IKEA Ribba frames into under bed storage box. The hack is brilliant. I would have never thought about the storage space like this, but it is genius. Just follow the instructions and you will gain so much functional space at home!
Here is the thing. Technically, it is not even an IKEA hack. Ironically, it was stumbled upon on the IKEA website, where they share ideas about improving interior design and home decor. You can be as creative as possible to make this work. Use the tape to make fake picture frames for your wall art, or even fake rug!
Do you know there is a need sometimes to organize things vertically? Especially if you have many tall and thin objects, like sports equipment. This hack from IKEA suggests putting picture ledges vertically instead of horizontally with a little gap between them. You can attach knobs or buttons on the tops and bottoms of the picture ledges and use the rope or string to secure the objects and prevent them from falling.
Who would know that 4 KNUFF Magazine files can make a perfect transformable coffee table? It is simply a genius hack that I am a big fan of.
Now, if you are on a budget and can’t afford a fancy TV lowboard for your super fancy TV, there is a simple, but incredible hack using 2 Bekvam bench stools. Now, tell me, isn’t it unexpected?
Now, tell me, what is your favorite hack out of these five? If you ask me, I think the media unit is the real deal. I love the look and the simplicity of it.
